Very tired from another gorgeous day of hiking with my dad here in Switzerland so keeping this to the point!
THREE more lifers were found today with bird-of-the-day to the Lesser Whitethroat and runner-up to the Spotted Flycatcher. Full list with photos of almost every species is found here:

Such breathtaking scenery! I think your pink-flowering shrub is either one of two rhododendrons native to the mountains of Switzerland: rhododendron ferrugineum or rhododendron hirsutum, or a hybrid between these two. "ferrugineum" means "rust-colored", referring to the leaves, and "hirsutum" means "hairy", referring to the leaf edges.
This is an amazing trip!
