Switzerland - NYC - Idaho

TUESDAY, AUGUST 1:

Lots of catching up to do…

After two long days of traveling from Geneva, Switzerland and New York City, I have finally made it back to my favorite place, my happy place: Sun Valley, Idaho!

First, a few last Switzerland photos: screengrabs from the opera “The Rake’s Progress” at the Verbier Festival.

Now, a few last photos of Verbier and from my travels which for the most part went along without a hitch, thankfully. A huge shout-out to my first voice teacher, Lara Nie, for hosting me for an overnight in NYC!

Upon arriving in Sun Valley, my mom was in rehearsal with the Summer Symphony so Kathleen graciously offered to pick me up from the airport and we spent a much-needed afternoon catching up, exchanging stories, and sharing laughter.

We also saw a few birds from her back deck such as this female BULLOCK’S ORIOLE:

And my Idaho photographic lifer LESSER GOLDFINCH, a female, which will be my bird-of-the-day!

Afterwards, my evening was spent in business meetings and watching my mom’s wonderful symphony concert.

Stay tuned: tomorrow, mom, Parker, and I take to the Sawtooth Mountains to hike!

Happy birding,
Henry
