Birds and scenes from Central Virginia

Lynchburg, VA

semi-overcast 62 °F

Recently I have been pretty busy singing with the opera company Opera on the James here in Lynchburg, VA; however, I did get to go out and do some birding with my lovely hosts and friends, Nancy and Chuck, and nearby Percival’s Island.

We were treated to lovely looks at this little WINTER WREN:

As well as another wren species, a CAROLINA:

The sunsets here in Lynchburg with the surrounding rolling hills are spectacular.

As are the blossoms, spring is here!

Stay tuned — I just went on a wonderful expedition into the Blue Ridge Mountains but am behind on posting so you will have to wait for that one! :)

And next week: PANAMA!

Happy birding,
Henry
