Another trip down Blue Springs

SUNDAY, JUNE 23:

This evening I took another hike down Blue Springs Rd to look for birds and whatever else might turn up on this beautiful evening. I started off the hike with CAROLINA CHICKADEE:

And WHITE-EYED VIREO:

I was afforded great views of one of the resident BALD EAGLES that is nesting along the White River:

It gave a nice wing stretch at one point:

I also spotted one of the juvenile birds panting in the afternoon heat — it was wonderful to see evidence of successful breeding in this corner of the state.

like the chickadee; Good to know the Bald eagles are doing well there. Eight of the nests out here had two young fledge successfully this year.
