Last post from Arkansas!
Inspiration Point, AR

I am writing this post from the Fayetteville airport as I await my flight back to Chicago — delayed due to the crazy airline meltdown by exactly a day so my fingers are crossed that flights will be on time and smooth on my way back, even though I already had to change my itinerary today and cancel work tomorrow…
Opera in the Ozarks ended yesterday, and the day before I was able to go on my final walk down Blue Springs Rd. Click the eBird checklist here for all bird photos; it was a fabulous last walk to end my season here in Arkansas with a few highlights.

I spied some deer across the White River from my favorite lookout point, including a nice buck:
And the beautiful almost-full moon on my walk back. I was here in Arkansas so long that I saw three full moons while being here!
It was an incredibly fun time singing here at Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point. It is a quaint, wonderful company that has been training young singers for 75 years and I am grateful to have received a fellowship for this wonderful program. Many, many thanks to all those who run OIO and to the wonderful friends and colleagues I met during my time here.
This week I will find myself in Chicago, next week in Schenectady and NYC, and the following week in Vienna Austria for a conducting program at Musikverein! Then, I fly way back across the pond and the country to Sun Valley Idaho for my annual trip out there. I am so incredibly excited for what the rest of the summer has in store!
Stay tuned, and as always, happy birding—
Henry
