Some recent birding in the Warm Springs neighborhood near Sun Valley, Idaho yielded some avian goodies!

This beautifully-cooperative AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER was a fantastic surprise:
As well as this cute NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL, a species I have only seen once before, in the exact same place five years ago!
Today, a family rafting trip north of Stanley yielded some nice species, including an unphotographed pair of WILLIAMSON'S SAPSUCKERS because I didn't want to get my camera wet on the raft. The rafting was awesome!
