Day 8: Relaxation

rain 69 °F

Hi all,

Today was a lazy day devoted to relaxation and homeschooling in our hotel room since the weather was frightful (and no, we didn't have a fire that was delightful, if you were wondering).

Later that day we went out to dinner at a beautiful restaurant that had an aquarium inside of it!

Birds that I positively identified today included TUI, COMMON MYNA, HOUSE SPARROW, EASTERN ROSELLA, NEW ZEALAND and ROCK PIGEONS, SILVER, RED-BILLED, BLACK-BILLED, and KELP GULLS, and also PIED CORMORANTS.

Tomorrow we will drive down to Auckland to pick up my father from the airport and see the fabulous aquarium there with him. We will spend two nights in Auckland.

Good birding,

Henry
Life List: 476 (no new life birds today)
